Who We Are?

Who We Are

ADR & The Law (ISNI: 0000000524658381) is Kenya’s trailblazing legal journal, built for bold minds and serious conversations. We’re not here to water things down—we’re here to raise the standard. With contributors from over ten universities, a globally diverse editorial team, and one of the largest essay competitions in the country under our belt, we’ve carved out a space where legal scholarship meets purpose. From ADR and constitutional reform to tech law and social justice, we publish forward-thinking research that informs, critiques, and sparks change. We’re not simplifying the law—we’re reshaping how it’s discussed.

Meet the Founder

Raphael Okochil

[ORCID:0009-0006-9970-1924]

Founder, Author, Publisher

The legal world has its practitioners—then it has Okochil. Founder. Scholar. Visionary. His pen doesn’t just analyze the law; it reshapes paradigms. When child protection laws need strength or human rights frameworks demand reinvention, you know exactly where to find the man who steps in. He doesn’t merely navigate systems—he dismantles and rebuilds them. Certified mediator? That’s just the beginning. He is a certified professional conciliator and arbitrator, the vanguard of ADR practice.
